Health Hazards Acute and Chronic:ACUTE-INHALED:IRRITATES RESPIRATORY
TRACT, HEADACHE,NAUSEA,DIZZINESS,LOSS OF APPETITE,WEAKNESS,LOSS OF
COORDINATION. EYES:IRRITATION.SKIN:PROLONGED/REPEATED CONTACT CAN
CAUSE PAIN,SWELLING, BLISTERING .INGESTION:MAY IRRITATE DIGESTIVE
TRACT.ASPIRATION INTO THE LUNG MAY CAUSE LUNG DAMAGE.CHRONIC-SKIN
DISCOLORATION,BLISTE
Explanation of Carcinogenicity:THE NIOSH HAS RECOMMENDED THAT WHOLE
DIESEL EXHAUST BE REGARDED AS POTENTIALLY CAUSING CANCER.
Effects of Overexposure:INHALATION CAUSES IRRITATION OF RESPIRATORY
TRACT, HEADACHE, NAUSEA, DIZZINESS, LOSS OF APPETITE, WEAKNESS, AND
LOSS OF COORDINATION. IRRITATES EYE. PROLONGED OR REPEATED SKIN
CONTACT CAN CAUSE PAIN, SWELLING, BLISTERING. INGESTION MAY
IRRITATE DIGESTIVE TRACT. ASPIRATION INTO THE LUNG MAY CAUSE LUNG
DAMAGE.
Medical Cond Aggravated by Exposure:INDIVIDUALS WITH CONGENITAL
ERYTHROCYTE GLUCOSE-6-PHOSPHATE DEHYDROGENASE DEFICIENCY MAY BE
PARTICULARLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE HEMOLYTIC EFFECTS OF THE
NAPHTHALENE.

First Aid

First Aid:GET MEDICAL CARE IN ALL CASES.INHALATION: REMOVE TO FRESH
AIR.PROVIDE CPR/OXYGEN IF NEEDED.EYE:FLUSH WITH WATER FOR 15
MINUTES KEEPING EYELID OPEN.SKIN:WASH WITH SOAP &
WATER.INGESTION:DO NOT INDUCE V OMITING.ASPIRATION HAZARD.IF
CONSCIOUS,DRINK MILK/WATER.CALL PHYSICIAN.IF SPONTANEOUS VOMITING
OCCURS,KEEP HEAD LOWER THAN HIPS TO PREVENT PULMONARY ASPIRATION.

Fire Fighting

Flash Point Method:TCC
Flash Point:100F,38C
Extinguishing Media:USE WATER FOG, CARBON DIOXIDE, FOAM, OR DRY
CHEMICAL. A FORCED STREAM OF WATER COULD SCATTER FLAMES OF FIRE.
Fire Fighting Procedures:WEAR FIRE FIGHTING PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND A
FULL FACED SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS. COOL FIRE EXPOSED
CONTAINERS WITH WATER SPRAY.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:MAY FORM WATER VAPOR, CARBON MONOXIDE AND
CARBON DIOXIDE. WATER RUNOFF TO SEWER MAY CARRY COMBUSTIBLE FUELS &
CREATE A FIRE/EXPLOSION. MORE FIRE HAZARD IF >85F.

Accidental Release

Spill Release Procedures:REMOVE SOURCE OF HEAT,SPARKS,FLAME,FRICTION &
ELECTRICITY,INCLUDING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE.USE
EXPLOSION-PROOF EQUIPMENT TO CLEAN UP.DIKE SPILL.PREVENT LIQUID
FROM ENTERING SEWERS, WATERWAYS/LOW A REAS.SOAK UP WITH
SAWDUST,SAND.SHOVEL/SWEEP UP.

Handling

Handling and Storage Precautions:STORAGE-STORE IN COOL,DRY
WELL-VENTILATED AREA IN CLOSED CONTAINER AWAY FROM HEAT,IGNITION
SOURCES & OXIDIZERS.
Other Precautions:COMBUSTIBLE LIQUID. USE WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION.
AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES, SKIN AND CLOTHING. LAUNDER CONTAMINATED
CLOTHING BEFORE REUSE. GROUND AND BOUND CONTAINERS TO PREVENT
STATIC SPARKS. USE EXP LOSION-PROOF ELECTRICAL SERVICES.

Exposure Controls

Respiratory Protection:IN SITUATION WHERE VAPOR CONCENTRATIONS MAY
EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED EXPOSURE LIMITS, A NIOSH-APPROVED ORGANIC
VAPOR CARTRIDGE RESPIRATOR SHOULD BE WORN. USE SELF-CONTAINED
SUPPLIED-AIR RESPIRATOR FOR E MERGENCIES.
Ventilation:GENERAL DILUTION OR MECHANICAL VENTILATION/EXPLOSION-PROOF
LOCAL EXHAUST TO KEEP VAPOR BELOW RECOMMENDED EXPOSURE LIMITS
Protective Gloves:NEOPRENE, NITRILE, OR POLYVINYL ALCOHOL
Eye Protection:USE CHEMICAL SAFETY GOGGLES & FACESHIELD
Other Protective Equipment:EYE WASH STATION.BARRIER CREAMS SPECIFIC FOR
PETROLEUM-BASED MATERIALS MAY BE USED WHEN GLOVES ARE IMPRACTICAL.
Work Hygienic Practices:DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. AVOID SKIN CONTACT.
WASH SKIN AFTER USING PRODUCT. DO NOT EAT, DRINK OR SMOKE IN WORK
AREA.
Supplemental Safety and Health
FORMULA CHANGED. FOR PREVIOUS FORMULATION, SEE P/N A SAME NSN. EMPTY
